Rental Cabin located on 30 private acres near Oak Hill, West Virginia, surrounded by hundreds of undeveloped acres. National Park Service land and BSA Summit nearby.
Our property is very private and secluded, but still conveniently located near popular area attractions and outdoor activities. The New River and the Gauley River are world famous whitewater rafting rivers, and the sandstone gorges are a popular rock climbing destination. The nearby New River Gorge offers many hiking, biking and equestrian trails to explore. Winter visitors may enjoy skiing, snowboarding or tubing. We are just a 30 minute drive to Winterplace. For those who just want to relax, Sleepy Hollow Chalets offers plenty of space to roam about the property.
The Brandywine Cabin
The Brandywine Cabin is located in a beautiful setting offering and great views of the New River Gorge and the natural beauties of West Virginia. A spacious deck wraps around three sides of the cabin and provides access to an outdoor hot tub, a fire pit, outdoor seating and a grill. Sleepy Hollow is a great place to gather with family and friends away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy barbecues in the yard, rejuvenate in the hot tub or simply unwind in the peaceful outdoors.
Our Chalet is designed to sleep six people comfortably. Upon entering the Chalet, just opposite the laundry room and bathroom, you'll find the first bedroom containing a queen-sized bed. The second queen-sized bed is located upstairs in the loft area. We do not refer to this as a proper bedroom as it does not have four closed-in walls. However, in our opinion, the loft is where you can find the best mountain views peering through the ceiling-to-floor windows. A brand new full-sized futon bed is our newest addition to the upstairs. Below the loft is the living area where you'll find an identical solid-wood, full-sized futon bed. From here, watch a movie on DirecTV or just kick back and relax with your special someone in front of a romantic fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with a brand new 14-piece stainless steel Cuisinart set for indoor (stove, oven, microwave, etc) use as well as all of the necessities for outdoor (propane grill or fire pit) cooking.
Check us out, and discover for yourself the many wondrous charms this ambiance provides.
Pet Policy: We strive very hard to provide a beautiful home where everyone can breathe easily. In lieu of the numerous inquiries regarding allergen-free homes, we regret that we cannot allow your pets to stay with you at the Chalet.
Please Note: Our water comes straight from Mother Nature. While it does go through a filtration process, we recommend not drinking directly from the faucet. A five-gallon water cooler dispenser is provided for drinking purposes. As a general precaution, we suggest boiling the water for cooking purposes.
We have actively used this water for many years and have had no problems brushing our teeth, showering, or consuming small amounts.
